All the lists looks pretty good, there's just one thing I want to suggest: in both 1000pts army try to get some cavalry. In the Gondor list I'd drop Madril/Captain and the Osgiliath Veterans for some Knights (perhaps equip one with a banner). In the Mordor list drop the Orcs with two-handed weapons and a Captain for some Warg Riders.
Thanks for the compliments, i may actually mount Boromir up but i'd need the mounted model only have the two foot versions and drop the osgiliath veterans and some of the citadel guards for knights, i'm just not sure about the theme with knights not sure if it fits with the whole ranger theme i was going for, i wanted it to be a lot like osgiliath when they show it in the flashback in two towers then the main battle in return of the king, the warg riders is something i can really fall for though if i'm honest i wasn't too sure about the amount of orcs i was including, i even had to throw in three trolls just so i wouldn't go over my model limit.

I'm guessing this is all LoME legal you're talking here. Very impressive, thematic combos everywhere and plenty of might even though you haven't spent many points on them in the 500 point armies. Only other thing I would comment on is that in the 500 point CU army, I would get rid of the uruk with banner and perhaps use the points to "upgrade" some of the orcs and uruks to BGoBD (but I can't remember if they are in the CU army list so apologies if it isn't).
With the 500 points i was mostly aiming to max out my numbers and in the case of my ithilien list max out my bows, i feel there's enough might in the cirith ungol list though with 3 captains. About the black guards though i really can't stand the models, maybe one day i'll change my mind on them like a lot of the other original creations but for now i think i'd rather use warg riders over them, like Elessar said i could drop a banner and a few other surplus models and have enough points for cavalry.[/quote]
