Was thinking about making an all Corsair army, here are a couple lists I came up with. (I should mention that I dont have any of the models yet) 1 Captain w/ 2 handed weapon - 55 1 Captain w/ crossbow - 55 1 bo'sun w/ 2 shield - 50 10 Corsairs w/ spear and shield - 90 16 Corsairs w/ shield - 128 10 Corsai Arbalester - 120 498 units, 41 units, 10 bows, 4 might OR: 1 Captain w/ 2 handed weapon - 55 1 Captain w/ crossbow - 55 1 bo'sun w/ 2 shield and bow- 55 11 Corsairs w/ spear and shield - 99 16 Corsairs w/ shield - 128 12 Corsairs w/ bow and spear - 108 500 points, 42 units, 13 bows, 4 might What do you guys think? I think Corsairs could be pretty devastating with their throwing weapons, Though I am unsure how they play as i have never played them before. I like the second list better purely from a monetary standpoint, but let me know what you think? |

I prefer the first list. Crossbows, at least for me, are really scary. |

Go with the crossbows, they're awesome D6 in a corsair army is excellent. |

Crossbows it will be then. And yeah the D6 is great, but they cost more. Unless i can get a conversion that will work. |

Corsair Captain w/ 2H weapon Corsair Bo'sun w/ crossbow Corsair of Umbar with shield and spear x11 Corsair of Umbar with spear x5 Corsair of Umbar with shield x16 Corsair of Umbar with bow x16 50 models, 2 Might - 16 bows One of my friends uses this list and it's deadly, you have to use some WE-esque strategies though because of their flimsy armor. It's also rather easy on the pocketbook. |

Thanks CreatureFear, i think i will start with a list like that and then either convert up some Arbalesters or buy some later on. Just to take it easy on the pocket book. I like WE tactics, so that will be fun. |

Looks like a solid list, could perhaps use a little more might. |

The Bo'sun could easily be replaced with another captain (so you'd then have 4) - my friend uses that list because that's what came in the boxes, but it's always worked well anyway, especially since it sits at a solid 50 models. |

Yeah I can always do a little converting to get the bo'sun to look like a captain. But i like the list, lots of models, lots of thowing dagges, thats alot of potential damage. |

I needed to see this thread. I've been thinking for some time now that a Corsair army should be my second. There is a sale @ the local retailer tomorrow on box sets and blisters and I think I'm gonna walk in there and buy that exact list. Sweet! Thanks guys. |

Hmm.....the first list is ok because you can't move crossbowmen unless you don't want them to shoot. |
