. . 1 Berethor - Captain of the Citadel Guard @ 55 pts (Hand Weapon; Shield; Heavy Armour)

    Warrior (1#, 32 pts)
. . 1 Warrior of Minas Tirith @ 32 pts (Hand Weapon; Heavy Armour; Banner)

    Warrior (12#, 96 pts)
. . 12 Warrior of Minas Tirith @ 96 pts (Hand Weapon; Shield; Heavy Armour)

    Warrior (8#, 72 pts)
. . 8 Warrior of Minas Tirith @ 72 pts (Hand Weapon; Spear; Shield; Heavy Armour)

    Warrior (12#, 96 pts)
. . 12 Warrior of Minas Tirith @ 96 pts (Hand Weapon; Bow; Heavy Armour)

You're probably going to get seriously outnumbered by horde armies; at 600pts you can take up to 75 models.

So what is a good Boromir, Captain of the White Tower list without banner? I've got a 500pt list with 39 models in it with him.

Yeah, it will work better at 500pts. Elite armies work best at 500 and 100 points, and horde armies work best at 600 points (or really small games, like 200pts).

What would you recommend for 600pts with the same army and hero?

For a 600pts list with Boromir, I'd just take as many models as possible.

I agree. I would try just to squeeze every bit out that isn't strictly nescesary. Drop the banner, drop berethor. Also, I would perhaps give the CG longbows and give the WoMTwB shields and perhaps drop one to be able to give a few spears as well.

I don't have that many models painted so I'm working with what is painted. Could some give me an example of a list with Boromir?

Ok, how about this:

Fellowship:
Boromir of Gondor-105 points

Tower of Ecthelion:
Faramir, with heavy armour and horse-85 points
12 WoMT with shields-96 points
10 WoMT with spears and shields-108 points
8 KoMT with shields-112 points
14 rangers of Gondor-112 points

Total count: 500 points, 46 models, 9 might, 14 shots

Not loads more than your list but it has cavalry which will hit like a sledge-hammer (especially with Faramir leading) and you have loads of 3+ shots. This way, you can get Faramir and normal Boromir instead of BCotWT for just a wee bit more which IMO is worth it any day. Still, it might not be to your taste.

You can't have rangers with Knights. Knights are from Tower of Ecthelion and Rangers are from Rangers of Ithlien. I've used Boromir of Gondor in 350pt games since he is cheap but if I'm going to a tournament that has contest of champions Boromir will lose it since he has no fate and low defence.

How about this?

Boromir with shield
16 Warriors of Minas Tirith with shield
16 Warriors of Minas Tirith with spear and shield
16 Warriors of Minas Tirith with bow
2 Guards of the Fountain Court

Now that is a list. Or I was thinking this almost like yours.

Boromir w/shield
24 WOMT w/shield
8 WOMT w/spear and shield
11 or 10 WOMT w/bow
7 or 8 Citadel Guard w/spear

How is it?

They're pretty similar. Just go with which one you personally prefer.

I've been told rangers were also in ToE army list, still you could just get womt with bows instead.

I think I like General Elessar's list more but I think that both the lists lack heroes, cavalry, and look boring to play IMHO.

Oh, triying for the third time ok what about this:
Rangers of Ithilien:
Damrod
12 Shield WoMT
4 Spear & Shields WoMT
10 Rangers of Gondor
Tower of Etchelion:
Boromir with shield
6 KoMT

exactly 500pts

Using this tactic
W: WoMT with shield; R=Ranger with spear; S= Spear & shield WoMT;

WWWWWWwWWWWWW
SRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRS
S S

When the small 'w' dies, this happens:
=> => =>
SWWWWWWWWWWWWW
SRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRS
S

You get it ? Now, every warrior in the front is coverd by a spear, has a high defence, and shooting is easy until you encounter the enemy. The, you can pull the back or let them join the fight. Let your heroes join the formation whenever you want to call heroic actions. And your cavalry to flank them.

500pts I'm okay with 39 models but 600pts I'm falling short.

Yes, like I said, elite armies don't work at 600pts. Just focus on a 500pts list if you want to use Boromir.
