I was wondering today if I should use King Elessar in a 600pt list and I came up with this.

    600 Pts - The Tower of Ecthelion Roster - Elessar

    Hero (1#, 260 pts)
    . . 1 Aragorn - King Elessar @ 260 pts (Mighty Hero; Anduril - Flame of the West; Heavy Armour)

    Warrior (12#, 96 pts)
    . . 12 Warrior of Minas Tirith @ 96 pts (Hand Weapon; Shield; Heavy Armour)

    Warrior (8#, 72 pts)
    . . 8 Warrior of Minas Tirith @ 72 pts (Hand Weapon; Spear; Shield; Heavy Armour)

    Warrior (12#, 96 pts)
    . . 12 Warrior of Minas Tirith @ 96 pts (Hand Weapon; Bow; Heavy Armour)

    Guard (8#, 72 pts)
    . . 8 Citadel Guard @ 72 pts (Bodyguard; Hand Weapon; Spear; Heavy Armour)

    Total Roster Cost: 596
    Model Count:41

    So how is it?

    I think thats a pretty good Elessar list at 600pts, though I would consider putting him on a horse. I know you have no other mounted figures but he is just much more effective on a horse.

    I know he is affected on horse but Elf archers or bowmen could get in those luck shots. Then it drop my model count down to 40 or 39.

    Perhaps. Aragorn KoG may not be nesessary at 600 points, I think Aragorn normal will do the job just as well. But I presume that these Aragorn lists are for Gondor.

    Aragorn King won't work at 600pts, as you can take up to 75 models, meaning you're going to be very outnumbered. He'd work much better at 500pts.

    All the tournaments in the US are 600pts and at 500pts I only get 30 models.

    In that case, I advise not to take Aragorn King.

    Probably not, because then you'd have to take a Gondor Hero as well.

    I was talking about a grey company army (which many Gondor players can make if they have rangers which is quite likely).
