i have two ents in the mail and am excited to play with them. i have an idea how i am going to use them but its just an idea. keep them hidden untill they behind enemy and pop them out to hit flank. i was wondering how everyone else usually fields them. |

i would put them behind some cheap troops and then break into combat when the cheap side attacks attack at the sides. their likely to draw fire so i wouldent charge without a screen |

Use him to defend your ranks or if you're desperate, use him to stall to keep a nasty formation of your rear, flanks etc. Ents and other monsters are very good at clearing out formations from defensible terrain. Do not charge him head-on into a formation, charge him into the flanks of the enemy. Use him to threaten cavalry and keep them away from your infantry guys. Of course, it is very hard for one ent to achieve this which is why you often can take several. But that's the pros the cons are: don't rely on your ent. An epic hero with a full stock of might can easily knock up the hard to kill chart to a deadly 6. Don't expect your ent to carve up the enemy formations, it won't, on average, you'll get about 4 or 5 kills a turn. The ent is best used as support but it can be used on its own against cavalry formations or very small formations (ents are also good against ambushers). |

so when i engage an enemy keep my ent behind and then swing him around to hit the enemy formation flank. he works good against cavalry and small formations. when you say they are good against ambushers what exactly do you mean. that they are good as ambushers? and how do they get 4 to 5 kills when they have three attacks? |
