You might have seen my other post, but this one is for Isengard. I also don't know what to get next for my Isengard army and I want to have an army of +-750. This is what I have so far: -10 Uruk-hai shield -10 Uruk-hai pike -12 Orc (4spear, 2shield, 2twohanded, 2bows, 2shield and spear) -6 Warg (2throwing spear, 2bow, 2shield) -3 Demolition teams (3berserker, 3bomb, 6ladder, a lot of Uruk-hai that come with it ) -1 Ballista -7 Berserker -9 Uruk-hai crossbow -24 Uruk-hai Scout (1box) -2 Uruk-hai Captain heavy armour and shield -1 Uruk-hai Shaman -1 Sharku foot and mounted -2 Saruman -1 Grima -1 Lurtz -1 Uruk-hai banner -1 Orc banner -1 Isengard Troll I was thinking about a box of Orcs (mainly for the spears) and 2 Orc captains and the Orc drummer and taskmaster. All suggestions are welcome!! Kili |

Maybe another blister of beserkers but by the looks of it the only things you are missing are ugluk and vrasku but the only reason you would want them is for the same reason as getting cirion and madril, for extra might and special rules. Feral uruk hai seem pretty similair to beserkers en mi opinion. If you want orc captains why not go for grishnakh, he has that all important bonus might point... but really i reckon you should get one of the wraiths, either a budget one or a super one, its up to you. If you sign up to the GW website there is an article which has all the rules for all the unique ringwraiths, its in the white dwarf archive section under lotr then gaming. There is so much to say about each one but since i cant see an "assassin" model in you're army why not go for the betrayer? |

I already read the article because I maybe wanted one, but then I began looking at some other models so it didn't look at them too much. I also think I should get a wraith, but thanks for the tip to get the betrayer because I really didn't know wich one to get . I'm not sure wether I want 10 berserkers (I already have 7), but I'll play a few games with my berserkers (I haven't played too much games with them) and decide then. Grishnakh is indeed a far better option than the orc captains since I have a pretty small orc 'army' (why didn't I think about that ). Kili |

I think you should get another box of Uruks and one with Orcs. Then you will have evrything you need. Screw Orc captains (not Grishnak) they are worthless compared to your Uruk captains. |

Uruk hai are miles better :p But yeah just get whichever ringwraith you want, a universal tip i have noticed on this site is that every army needs a wraith of some sort but you do have saruman so it might not be required... |

Yeah on the topic of wraiths jump on the GW website have a look at the named wraiths stats and rules to help you choose. Personally I usually go with the one that looks cool.(I love the tainted model) |

The tainted is pretty awsome, he proves that swords are for wimps, sticks are a MANS weapon :p |

My friend likes to use his Boromir and Faramir, and the GW-site says that The Tainted is good against Heroes. So should I get The Tainted (for anti-hero), The Betrayer (like SuicidalMarsbar said) or the one I like the looks of (I love The Shadowlord )? Kili |

The tainted can cause an instant to someone in base contact on a roll of 6 i beleive which is pretty useful in general but the betrayer is also anti hero, he re-rolls failed wounds, the shadow lord is good against archery, which, in my opinion, means leading groups of infantry across the battlefield in relative safety. Howeverthe difference between "special" ringwraiths and normal ones that are fully upgraded are just like the difference between a captain of gondor and cirion, they have a few extra rules and an extra point of might, will or fate. Choose the one that you like the best or would filla hole in you're army |

Quote: the betrayer is also anti hero, he re-rolls failed wounds In my opinion the Betrayer really shouldn't be used against heros in combat. Sure he re-rolls wounds, but as a general rule you do NOT want wraiths in combat (unless you have a combat wraith of course...which the Betrayer is not). Mounted on a fell beast it might be a different story, but then he would be vulnerable to bowfire. All wraiths are effective--at this points level I would really just go for the one you like the look/special rules of the most. |

Agreed What i meant to say about the betrayer is that his combat rule is more of an actual advantage in combat because it requires you to win a fight whereas the tainteds rule is more of an emergency safety mechanism. Im not much of a ringwraith user myself (as you can tell :p) i prefer to use castellans or the necromancer |

Then I think I'll take the shadow lord I think. He looks very nice and my friends use a lot of archers so I think that's the best choice (IMO ). Does the special rule for him also works for throwing stones? |

I think it's any missile weapon, why are some hobbits gonna take out a wraith? |
