I have played a lot of games with my elven army in the skirmish(if you are interested, here is an army list): 24 wood elves, 8 with bows, 8 with spears, 8 with blades 8 high elf swordmen 8 high elf bowmen legolas gimli aragorn 8 numenorean shieldmen (that were the names I gave them). since a year I have the war of the ring rulebook and I realy like gondor, and espacially the dol amroth troops. I think there are only a few battlehosts worth their points, but drar's hunters (not sure if thats the right name, but I hope you know what I mean) for example are REALY nice. I want to use the swanhost of dol amrothn my army. I will use: 3 formations of 4 companies knights of dol amroth with prince imrahil. the infantry doesnt matter for now, but my question was if you think I am using to much cavalry with this list in a 2000 points game (prince imrahil is 125 points, the battlehost 50 points extra and the knights are 600 points together)and do you think it is the 50 points worth to form a battlehost and get the extras that imrahils epic charges and heroic charges affecting all troops from the battlehost within 12 inches, may reroll failed courage tests and that imrahils courage cannot get any negative counters.my tactic with them is charging them into my enemies with their 7 defence while carying shields and 4 strenght, lances, 2 attacks+6 for charging+a d3 when rolling a 4+ on charge(see the rule'amroth to gondor!')and imrahils epic charges and heroic charges affecting all troops from the battlehost within 12 inches. thank you |

I think you are meant to post topics about WOTR army lists in the war of the ring forum, im not sure though. And btw your skirmish force is illegal, it doesn't necessarily matter but if you come up against someone who calls you out on it, be prepared to have a back up army (the only illegal components are the high elves+the numenorians) |

about the skirmish, I know it, and I'm new on this forum so I didn't knew it about where to post. if someone tells me the armie is illegal I just make sure that I have the fellowship in charge. |

I didn't mean to sound harsh or anything, i would have posted some friendly advice about wotr if i had any, but i don't play wotr so yeah. Anyway welcome to the forums |

doesnt matter, thank you and it's only good to tell people if something is wrong with their tactics(it wouldn't be nice to be on the grand tournament and someone says your tactics are illegal) |

Im sure your tactics are legit, it's the list that's illegal. Besides i doubt you can fit much more than aragorn, legolas, gimli and 24 wood elves into a 700pt list so the other elves+men are irrelevent any way |
