Have a game tomorrow against harad, i thought i would make a list which could perform well in all ares, here is what i came up with: Dwarf King 14 Khazad Guard Elven stormcaller 21 outriders 37 Models, 21 shots, 4 might. Aim of this list is that it can perform excellently in combat (stormcaller+dwarves is pretty tough) and the shooting is very strong. SL is not very likely to com up, any suggestions? |

Well this list feels like you have taken no intention of making a list with a storyline and it is purely a 'i like the models' or 'i want to win' list. Really i can't see a fault with the list in terms of its ability to win, though ideally i wouldn't have the stormcaller in there and would go for more Dwarves or a proper Hero model (Outriders feel a little one the odd side for Heroes) for the Rohan forces. Mmmkay, I see your point, well yeah this was a case of 'I like the models' not so much 'I want to win but every list is built with winning in mind. Howabout this? Yes the thematic element is much more Peter Jackson-esque than it is tolkeiny but meh: Grimbold 20 helmingas with shield ( 10 have throwing spears too) 12 outriders Legolas Stormcaller 34 troops, 6 might, 15 shots, 10 throwing weapons Stormcaller |

The original list was good anti harad. The latest one you posted isn't. 500pts Harad gets: Golden King 16 Corsairs 16 Harad Spears 8 Watchers 8 Harad Bows and spears And 25 points under... messed up the list, but just wanted to get a point across: You're outfought by the fight value, the throwing weapons have an advantage over the just 10 of helmingas, there's 16 good bows vs 15, but once your force breaks, you lose. Overall the Harad has a slight edge. At the same time I doubt this Harad would ever come close of breaking that first one. |
