This is a list ive been toying around with for a tornament, Im rather new so my pool of experience is low, so let me know what you guys think. 500 pts Rivendell elves Elladan and Elrothir w/H Armor -3 warriors with shields -4 warriors with shields and spears -4 warriors with bows Erestor -3 warriors with shields -4 warriors with shields and spears -4 warriors with bows -1 warrior with banner 7 might, 8 bows It comes to exactly 500, the main problems Ive heard about elves in general are the lack of cav, but i think i can work around it. I also have found out how broken the twins seem to be for their cost (+ 1 attack, and +1 MWF over captain for same cost, really?) The tornament will use scenarios from the book, and I think this army is well rounded for most of them. Some experienced C&C would be helpful. |

First impression are that this looks a solid list. Was going to say you're over the bow limit but you round up in the new rules. Obviously with an elite army such as elves you're never going to be top on numbers, and with the strong heroes it won't help your cause. That said, there's really not much I can see that would improve this list. Just be prepared to think about how you would deal with elements that are not present, such as cavalry (mounted models in particular could exploit the twin's rule once one is killed, dragging him out of position as he will never be able to catch the rider, and effecting removing 1/6 of your points with a 15 point warrior on a horse). Be sure that you deploy your elves in a solid formation, as you have split the troops in half into warbands, rather all of one troop in one, and all of one in another. Someone may be able to find some changes, but it looks sound to me, good luck. |

The only thing I might do is give the twins elf bows as well if possible so you can volley fire. However im not sure how giving them bows would effect your bow limit. I know one of theirs wouldn't but im not sure about the other seeing as how he counts towards the number of followers and is also a hero.. |

To do bows I would have to drop an elf, and I honestly dont want my 3A 3M heroes stuck in with the archers. And also in regards to the twins, im not too worried abut cav killing one of them, as the cav still has to win the fight (and with 3A at F6 it is not that easy). Im almost more worried about trolls and stuff that has a fight higher than my elves, but honestly there arent used very much in my experience. |

It's solid for certain games, the Twins can chew through a lot. But there is some strategic value in having three war bands instead of two, which you could get if you dropped the Twins and the banner. Unfortunately there aren't many low-cost Rivendell heroes...you're kind of limited to Arwen, Cirdan, Gildor, or a Stormcaller. |

A solid looking force, with a lot going for it. Don't overlook Elladan and Elrohir, because their skill with their Elven Blades and Fight Scores make them very effective. Your Army looks good, consider using the Twins and some support as Skirmishers to avoid the enemy lines and strike at their vulnerable units, while your armoured troops engage the main enemy. Remember, nothing is perfect at first. Give it time. Pathfinder Captain |
