This is my first list for Strategy Battle Game(played a fair share of War of the Ring) and I'm looking for advice on it. SBG has been gaining momentum at my FLGS and I was challenged by a returning SBG player. We agreed on a 750pt Lords of Battle scenario so this was built with that in mind.

Warband 1: 313
- Elladan & Elrohir with Elf Bows, Heavy Armour, and Elven Cloaks
- 1 High Elf Warrior with Elf Bow and War Horn
- 2 High Elf Warrior with Elf Bow
- 8 High Elf Warrior with Shield

Warband 2: 208
- Rumil
- 1 Galadhrim Warrior with Banner
- 2 Galadhrim Warrior with Shield and Spear
- 1 Galadhrim Warrior with Spear
- 4 Galadhrim Warrior with Shield
- 4 Galadhrim Warrior with Elf Bow

Warband 3: 179
- Knight of the White Tower
- 1 Warrior of Minas Tirith with Banner
- 5 Warrior of Minas Tirith with Shield
- 2 Warrior of Minas Tirith with Shield and Spear
- 2 Ranger of Gondor
- 2 Ranger of Gondor with Spear

Warband 4: 50
- Beregond
- 2 Warrior of Minas Tirith with Shield
- 1 Warrior of Minas Tirith with Shield and Spear

I like it, curious how the KoWT does. The only thing I might change is drop the elf banner, add troops. You could also switch the Galadhrim bows for wood elf bows. Also, add more spears...instead of Galadhrim take wood elves with spears and TD, because those high elves with shield could use the support.

also, drop the horn for some more troops. elves really don't need xtra courage.

I think the list is quite solid. The extra spears can help, but I would just make sure that the current spears you have are in there behind the best of your normal warriors (and heroes).

Sorry, I have to run, or I'd give some generic tactical advice. Shield walls are your friends- have two ranks going at all times, do not let your warriors do one-on-one combats. Make sure that the twins and Rumil are doing the majority of the cutting. Shoot anything that they can't take in close combat (and those three can take a lot).

Best of luck!

Been busy working all weekend so this is the first opportunity I've had to reply after playing. I used the list in my OP and was able to win. The reason I took Galadhrim over wood elves was because I already had tons of Galadhrim and didn't own any wood elves(I have a feeling GW will be releasing new WE sculpts when The Hobbit hits). My opponent's list was mostly made up of 2 Isengard trolls, Mauhur and his warband of scouts with bows, a warband full of Uruk berserkers, and a warband full of Uruk-Hai(about 1 part shields and 2 parts pikes). My archers were able to pick off 2 heroes and his only banner on turn 1 so that helped quite a bit. I thought fight would be more important in SBG than it was in WotR but I didn't quite realize how much more important. I'm looking forward to playing my next game.

Well done! Don't be afraid of Berserkers- I have fifteen of them and have used them much- they are a ver intimidating model, but their usefulness ends there, unless, by some miracle, they win a fight. And Galadhrim are wonderful.
