...with just a TINY bit of the Fellowship added to the list. Little bit of background: my wife's love of Hobbits is what led me to this game, and as such I figure why not give her what she wants. Sure, it's an expensive list, but that's hardly a big deal, since we're going slow and painting and all that. That said, here's what we're looking at: Samwise the Brave 12 Battlin' Brandybucks Meriadoc, Captain of the Shire with Shield 12 Battlin' Brandybucks Peregrin, Captain of the Shire 12 Hobbit Archers Bill the Pony Treebeard There's 21 points left over here that could either go towards throwing two Elven Cloaks on the Heroes (or giving them ponies, I suppose) or taking Fatty Bolger and Lobelia. Bill provides much of the benefits of Frodo at a much lesser cost and he's Bill the Pony, so you know he rocks. Treebeard makes an appearance to give the Hobbits some punch. Not really a whole lot I can say about him that people don't already know. Advice? Comments? |

I should take for your remaining points 3 pony's and fredgar bolger (deploy first) can you take bill the pony without any other model in the felowship warband? Lucas |

Advice: Army Builder is nice, but not 100% accurate. Assuming it isn't just handwaved aside, perhaps the simplest "fix" would be as follows, although I think it's somewhat silly. Samwise Gamgee Bill the Pony Paladin Took 12 Hobbit Archers Peregrin, Captain of the Shire 12 Battlin' Brandybucks Meriadoc, Captain of the Shire with Shield 12 Battlin' Brandybucks Fredegar Bolger Lobelia Sackville-Baggins Treebeard That allows for Bill's shenanigans, but I'm not very happy with it. Alternative, I can do something like this: Samwise the Brave 12 Battlin' Brandybucks Meriadoc, Captain of the Shire 12 Battlin' Brandybucks Peregrin, Captain of the Shire 12 Hobbit Archers (either) Paladin Took 3 Hobbit Archers 4 Shirrifs (do they have two-handed weapons now?) Bill is really good for his points, so i should take him, maybe drop treebeard and take something with speed (gildor with elves or something) |
