Hi guys, what do you think of the Morgul Knights? The models looks great, but the in game price kind of puts me off. Do you think they are worth the points and if so at what point game.? |

LordoftheBrownRing is talking about WOTR right? In SBG Morgul Knights always have shields and 5 of them would make 10 strikes on the charge, assuming you hit the same target, which would be impossible due to base size. Anyway: I'd say nay. The best you could get would be 5 of them with Dark Marshal on horse for 230 points. But even then. Charge Fury affected models and you're done for. Same for anything with F4+, or heroes. So that doesn't leave a lot of options these days. One could argue to use them to take objectives etc. But I could just field a Fell Warg for that, they don't need a hero anyway. If I had to chose between 5 Morgul Knights and 1 Mordor Troll, the choice would be easy. |

I think morgul Knights are`Yay´ they have terror, so if you use them together with a wraith the chance that they are countercharched is really small, really against low courage army´s. D6 and Lances are both good either. And a dark marshall for the banner is also good. So yes, with ringwraits they are good. Lucas |

As far as I can see they are the evil equivalent of swan knights. Expensive but very elite cavalry. As Bolg has said there throwing a ringwraith in to accompany them should help quite a bit. Terror is great for cavalry models and having enemies test at minus 1 is even better. They're on my list of models to try out (I love cavalry) will let you know how they do when I get them onto the field. |
