I have a large Mordor force and usually use a ringwraith. I was thinking of using the betrayer allied with about 6 watchers of Kharna and serpent guard for a 500 pts force. Is this worth using?

its a nasty warband to wound stuff, but you need him mounted on horse to benefit of more attacks or if better, a fell beast.

The best way to use him in in a full Harad army, put him on a Fell Beast as Galanur says, and use only if you have 50% bows, full.

yep exactly, if you want a more independent nazgul to crush things in a fight try the knight of umbar or the witch king...

Is there a misprint in his spells list? Compel and Transfix both work on a 4+. is this correct?

Yup, the named Ringwraiths all seem to have slightly different cast rates I think.

IMO unless your list is filled with poision (in your case not) don't bother. There are plenty of other Wraiths which will help yout army more for the same points cost. :)

The book is correct. Some of the more combat based wraiths find it harder to cast spells. Khamul and the KoU spring to mind.

Yes that's true but it's also true that I always cast compel when using the Betrayer over Tranfix.
