What warriors are more effective:

warriors of erebor

standard dwarf warriors

dwarf warriors (the green ones that come with 3 in each as oppose to 12)

They're all the same except Erebor Dwarves can take spears and Dwarf Warriors can take 2h axes and bows. As for the packs of 3 they're the exact same as the dwarf warriors they're just older metal models.

Personally I prefer Dwarf Warriors to Erebor Warriors because I prefer the Durin's list to the Army of Thror list

Dwarf warriors all the way, mainly because you can easily convert the useless 2 handed axe guys into erebor spearmen and have both dwarf lists goin at the same time!!

It's true, with the old dwarf lists you get more variety, but spears are very useful. My recommendation would be to take a warband of Warriors of Erebor (or 2) from the Army of Thror list, and have another one from Durin's list with elites :)

I would like to say that on my opinion I prefer erebor dwarves for a couple reasons:

if you dont go 1 way army, like only durin´s folk army and such and you allow mix.
Buying erebor dwarves in box worth more for you since most of the people rarely use dwarf bows or 2 handed axes nowadays, the variety you adquire you can still get it picking warbands from this list or that.

As for core you get erebor dwarves, they give you spears which is something durin´s folk lack on (except vault wardens), also they get most the same melee weapons (standartization)

As for variety then field with watever you want really. Give yourself warbands of durin´s folk heroes leading khazad guard, iron guard, rangers, vault wardens so on...
The only main reason I would probably make regular dwarf warriors will be to fill up points in the warbands for numbers and reliabilty or cause you need standart warriors to follow a durin folk´s heroe cause thror´s army can´t have em being part of their warbands...
Or if you field murin and drar you can get the random dwarf warriors to S4, which they make almost as good as khazad guards...
