Post subject:  500 Point Moria and Mordor Army
So I have a game today against Gondor (and maybe Dwarves) and I'm wanting to use more offensive magic than I normally do.
Here's my list. Input appreciated

Warband 1
Durburz - Army Leader
12 Moria Goblins

Warband 2
Moria Goblin Shaman
12 Moria Goblins

Warband 3
Moria Goblin Shaman
12 Moria Goblins

Warband 4
Moria Goblin Captain
9 Moria Goblins

(Allied Contingent from Mordor)
Warband 5
The Witchking (3/15/2)
5 Orcs

The plan is for the Witch-King to purely be a hero killer and cause all kinds of havoc for the other army. The Goblin Horde with Fury should be able to handle their enemies easily enough. All the Orcs are equipped with axes to piercing strike against the higher defenses. Durburz and the Captain are the only "combat heroes" but with 50 troops I think they should be alright lol.

Swap the gobbo captain for a blackshield shaman, those guys have real 'offensive magic' ;)

i like the way this army list is set up. it seems like it would be effective, and he can't swap out for another goblin because he is at 545 points, (unless i added wrong) but overall it is a great army

I keep getting 510 so I'll just dump 2 Orcs. If I had a black-shield shaman I'd field him, unfortunately I dont yet own any Black-shields

Thank you. It ended up having to change to 350 so I fielded the Watcher and a shaman with his Warband. Won by 3 models lol

good job, i'm guessing because it was that close you had the adrenaline flowing? i actually haven't had the chance to play with my watcher yet, mine isn't even painted yet... i should probably paint it for the year long painting challenge. 8)

Actually it was that close because the Watcher decided to flee the battle field for no apparent reason as he had only taken one wound and there was only 1 Warrior of Minas Tirith left (we decided that he became bored of the battle as there was no more prey left). So my Shaman and two remaining Goblins just trapped the WOMT and killed him.

But I'd highly recommend the Watcher, 250 is a lot of points but he killed around 315 by himself and is very deadly as he can inflict up to 12 wounds in a turn and can "deep strike" anywhere you want.
Also 6 strength 6 attacks on a rend attack devastates Heroes so easily.

his rules list was one one the reasons i get him at the store, along with my cave drake. Really looking forward to using them both 8) . I hope they make me proud like my balrog and Druburz (who at one point had 32 elven arrows in him before he died!). good times battling are so good to remember.
