Can you guys help me see if I understand the Grey Company bow limit rule properly? If I have 23 Warriors and 2 Ranger of the North, can 16 (23/3=8+4+4) have bows? For example, is this list legal? Aragorn, Isildur's Heir 7 Warriors of Arnor 5 Rangers of Arnor, 1 spear Halbarad Dunadan 11 Rangers of Arnor Ranger of the North Ranger of the North 500 points |

Hi, You don't mix the two bow limits. You either have 33% in which 2/3 of you warriors are Warriors of Arnor - you can still include some Dunedain/Rangers of the North but you needn't follow the 4 for 1 in this case. Or you can go with the 4 Rangers per Dunedain/Ranger of the north - you can still include Warriors of Arnor here, but you needn't have 2/3 of your army of them. So you pick which bow limit you want, but after that you can include the other type, so if you want more than 33% of your army with bows, you must include 1 RotN/Dunedain per Ranger of Arnor, regardless of whether there are Warrior of Arnors in your force. Does this make sense? |

That doesn't make sense to me at all. Is my army legal? |

No, it's illegal because you have 16 Rangers of Arnor, and only 2 Rangers of the North. You need to take 4 Rangers of the North (i.e. an extra 2), (or if you don't have any more, you could take 32 Arnor Warriors) EDIT: To clarify, if you do not want to follow the 33% bow limit, you must take a RotN for every 4 RoA, even if you have some Warriors. |

If your reading is the correct one, then why does it mention the normal bow limit? |

Because if you're running an Arnor list rather than Grey Company it follows the normal bow limit rules. |

No. You could still have 99% bows because you always have to have 1 rotn for every 4 roa. Doesn't mean you can't add some woa in there as well. |
