I'm building horde of goblins but I can't decide which goblins should I use. Moria Goblins have better defense and can take bows (that's not big bonus, but if and when in big numbers...) They have also shamans so that is big thing. GT Goblins have low defense but the spear rule makes them flexible and so. They have also good variety of hand weapons, giving them ability to do lots of special strikes. Also they look good for me. What do you think? |

I am more a painter then a player, but is it against the rules to combine them ? I think they could mix well if they are given the same skin colour. But if is has to be the one or the other, then I would go for goblin town, simply becouse they are new and add some variation to the game which has had Moria goblins in it since it started. also, since they dont have bows it means the whole horde will flood the enemy, which makes a fun game in my opinion, I imagine some elves trying to avoid contact with a massive amount of goblines. Also you can have a lot of captains, although weak, you will have plenty of might, and the goblin king if fun to field. |

You can mix every force on evil or good side. I just have to remember warbands. I like Goblin Town more too, but I think that Moria Goblins are bit more competitive. Hmm, lets see what others think. |

I'd say mix the two. Shamans are just too good not to have a couple of. |

I'd say mix them, too! I think playing a GT list will become really boring really soon. You have just one type of warrior and just two named heros, which can bring a little bit variety (the goblin king and the goblin scribe). Moria got many new troops (and you even don't have to use them to have enough variety). With blackshields the watcher in the water the marauders you can change your list again and again, while your goblin town will look always the same. But as I said, I'd mix them (because I'm no friend of goblins with higher strength than elves or three goblins riding one warg). With the king and the scribe you can bring even more fun in a moria army. I posted a Moria-GT list a week ago, it should be easy to be found it was basically goblin king + scribe + durburz + shamane + goblins. |

Mixing is probably by far the most efficient and fun. Goblin Town simply lacks variety, and with that it becomes boring and leaves a lot of tactical options unused. Otherwise, Moria by far. Many choices, that give the right tools to use in any scenario. Look great too, while I'm personally not a fan of the GT critters. |

Yeah, this was my list: viewtopic.php?f=37&t=28388&p=364366#p364366 So, I thought I could swap some GT Goblins for Moria ones. This list is mixing them both and some other stuff, so not boring in my opinion. |

Moria for me - more fun for a theme and more options to tweak the army however you want! |

As a Moria player I'd vote Moria as well. They're a fat better army with many more options GREAT has the King and Scribe, beyond that nothing spectacular that even matches what Moria can bring to bear |

Definitely mix them. The Scribe + Shaman means you're bringing in at least a few more goblins every turn. Not necessarily the most points effective use, but it is definitely fun to use. The Great Goblin + shaman + Groblog is literally the most difficult thing to kill in the game. I would advise bringing a shaman, Groblog, a dozen or so warriors and a Dweller. Then use the GT list to fill out the points, starting with the Great Goblin. |

For army list Moria is a lot stronger. But I chose goblin town because of their support rule and every 4 moria goblins you'd get 1 extra gob town. |
