Post subject:  Boromir of Gondor leading armies

Hi guys can i use fellowship boromir to lead my armies from Gondor? Its a good way to save 65 points but unclear of the rules regarding leaders

Not exactly.

He would have to be in his own warband. Only the Boromir in the Minas Tirith section can lead troops. The one in the fellowship section can be considered a force leader but he can only be in a warband comprised models from the fellowship section.

Take Boromir of Gondor but use Damrod, Beregond of Denethor to lead your warband. You will still save about 30 points and gain an extra hero.

This. And mount him if you can, so he could fast charge from battle to battle and take advantage of his high combat skills.

If your group aren't very competitive there's no reason you couldn't just ask, you are still playing with similar models within the theme but in tournament you'd have to do what the others suggested
