I used this army in my last match. I think it would have won had I not lost sight of the objective. Despite my better judgement, I allowed myself to get lost in a battle fury and ignored the objective. But the army performed well. Warband 1 -Gandalf the White on Shadowfax Warband 2 -Boromir, Capt of Gondor with shield Warband 3 -Faramir, with bow -3 Rangers of ithilien -8 Osgiliath Vets w/shileds It's small, but it performed well. The rangers and Faramir were used to shoot down wargs, the vets were meat shields (they did well), Gandalf was the trouble shooter (he did so well!) and Boromir was the destroyer (as you may have seen in my other posts in other threads, Boromir eliminated entire warbands single handedly!). |

Yes, this was 600. I thought it was a pretty low number too, but it performed very well. I was actually surprised. I build my armies with the army builder app. I enter the point total and the program tracks the running total and calculates bow limit and everything. It is pretty sweet. But, yes, the numbers were very low. Having a breaking point of 7 was rather frightening, but I was knocking my opponent out at a 2:1 ratio. When my force broke by turn 9 he was only a few troops from breaking himself. |
