I would like to try out an all hero army with Aragorn and some characters from War in the North and The Third Age video games. What profiles would be good for the video game characters. |

The Third Age follows the fellowship through all 3 movies but as a different fellowship made up of 6 members instead of 9. Berethor (Captain of the Citadel Guard), Idiral (Galadhrim elf), Elegost (Dundedain), Hadhod (Erebor dwarf), Morwen (Rohan fighter sort of) and Eoaden (Rohan royal guard). War in the North focuses on a band of 3 friends a Dundedain ranger (Eradan), a dwarf (Farin) and a rivendell elf. |

Yes. Aragorn is a must for me. I just don't own a mounted Aragorn but every other upgrade is fair game. |

The only Aragorn I can see taking, is Strider. Take him with an elven cloak, and armor For elves, Elladan and Elrohir with elven cloaks and heavy armor Take Murin and Drar Then this is a toss up.....You can either go Erkenbrand or Malbeth the seer. If you go Erkenbrand, you can also give Aragorn a bow. Erk offers +2 courage to all your troops, basically avoiding any courage tests whatsoever except for Murin and Drar. Those guys only fail though on double 1s at that point. This is probably the route Id go for. Or, you can take Malbeth, and avoid all wounds on your heros on 5+ with his special rule. Personally, id take Erkenbrand. With him, your army has 6 troops, 18 might!!! plus aragorns 1 per turn. Once you break or charging terror units, you almost never have to test. If you take Malbeth, you can prevent wounds, but they are mostly all high fate, fight value, attacks, or high defense, so you wont be taking many wounds. And 6 is a good number to survive with. Thats a nice mix of 2 men, 2 elves, and 2 dwarves also. With Malbeth first off, you drop 2 might. Second, you have to worry about bowfire ripping him to pieces....not to mention the opponent will go after him, then you have to play 'defend the guy in a robe with no armor' game. And that sucks. |

Aragorn, Isildur's Heir with Elven Cloak Legolas with Armour and Elven Cloak Twins with Elven Cloaks Gwaihir 600 Points Aragorn counts as a banner for Leggy and the Twins and allows them all to move without penalty through difficult terrain. You have lots of might, 4 decent fighters, one of whom is a flying monster. The list is hard for your opponent to engage with the Elven Cloaks and movement advantages. Add Radagast to go to 750 points. |

Or Aragorn, Strider with Elven Cloak Legolas with Elven Cloak Twins with Elven Cloaks Radagast 595 Points, 5 left for armour or Sebastian Less movement than the previous list and no banner from Strider, but you get Raddy's spells which are perfect for hero lists. |

For the video game characters, you could use these profiles: Berethor - Cirion/Captain of Minas Tirith Idrial - Stormcaller/Arwen Elegost - Dunedain/Halbarad/Ranger of the North Hadhod - Dwarf Captain w. 2 Handed Axe & Heavy armour Morwen - Eowyn, converted to have 2 axes Eaoden - Rohan Captain w. throwing spears & shield (or, if your opponent agrees, regular spear) Eradan - Dunedain/Halbarad/Ranger of the North Andriel - Stormcaller Farin - Dwarf Captain w. 2 Handed Axe & Dwarf Bow (to represent his crossbow) |

Goldman nailed it. I'd take Gimli and Balin son of Fundin as the Dwarf heroes though |

I was thinking this. Aragorn w/ Anduril, Armour, and Elven Cloak Berethor as Captain of Numenor w/ Heavy Armour Idiral as Stromcaller Elegost as Duinhir Hadhod as Dwarf Captain w/ 2 handed axe Morwen as Eowyn w/ Armour Eoaden as Captain of Rohan w/ throwing spears and shield I know the timeline may be screwed up with using Captain of Numenor but he is the only captain w/ fight 5. |

That could certainly work |

I was also thinking this as well. Aragorn w/ Anduril, Armour Legolas Gimli Berethor as Captain of Numenor Idiral as Stormcaller Elegost as King's Huntsman |

Well as for me I would treat Berethor as Cirion, even in lineage of families he looks similar, also hes very brave and gain certaint immunity to fear/terror type of enemies. Hes only 1 fate (still wounded a bit by that morgul shard from the witch king) Idrial as Arwen, despite all she is a skilled fighter and a loremaster in all due regards, as she is able to even summon the wrath of nature several times as you´ve seen. Hadhod its a bit complicated to see a similar dwarf, in matters he seems much like gimli, although using a big hammer and some axes instead. Elegost looks much similar bettewn halbarad and Duinhir, Although I would profile him as Duinhir like Elessar said on previous post, as king´s huntsman aint good enough, elegost is a dunedain, hes skilled in melee to and like Duinhir somesort of beast slayer behaviour... Morwen definitely eowyn with armour but wielding axes Eaoden as hama or Gamling or as captain as elessar says... |

My only problem with using Cirion is his fight 4. Otherwise I would use him. Would Rumil also be a good match for Berethor? |

Not really considering rumil is an elf faramir or imrahil would be best for Berethor. |

Are Captains of Arnor present during any of the films or books? Also would Anduril be perfect for these types of games? |

How is this for 500pts? Aragorn w/Anduril, Armour and Bow Berethor as Captain of Arnor Idiral as Stormcaller Elegost as Duinhir Hadhod as Dwarf Captain w/2-handed axe This would be when they go through the Mines of Moria. |

It's a good thematic list, but why is Aragorn with them? I'm just wondering the reason for him as opposed to say Gandalf who you fight alongside in Moria |
