No reason why you wouldn't be able to play with it, but I think that neither fight nor courage 6 is a decisive enough advantage over the majority of armies to warrant the extra points and resulting (extremely) low model count. It's pretty cool that your base troops will win draws against most heroes. If you have the models already give it a go! If you're thinking of buying for this list I might swap out for some bow fire. Elves without bows is like lamb without mint sauce . |

The low model count is a bit of a drawback. I really like the idea of an elven phalanx though, and the GotGC our some of my favorite models. |

It's certainly do-able if you use terrain properly. But if you came up against a good D6 army you might not make it out.... The fact you would be wounding on 6s for the most part and your enemy wounding on 5s as well as your lack of ranged firepower really does not help with such low numbers. I have considered an army like this before, but never really got around to drafting a list or playing a game. I would love to hear about how you fared with this list if you use it. |

Whether I have Harad and a ton of bows, Mordor and loads of Morannons, Hunter Orcs who will run up an cut you to pieces, or Isengard crossbows, youre going to have an issue. Id literally shoot you with half of those armies till you had to come to me...... and the other two, the hunters and mordor, have so many numbers. With Mordor I can get 39 troops easily with 9 might. And thats some left over. With Hunter Orcs I can get 42 models with 2-3 attacks each and have 11 might. It might work, but youve got to be playing a specific army. Youre almost always going to break first. |

You will need to be very careful. Imo it is a difficult army to play. The evil player must not encircle you and he can very easily make it nowadays. You will need to find narrow openings and form two-zone spearblocks. Also you can take advantage of the low numbers to become more flexible and get first in positions. After that it is of course difficult to maintain on em if it is open ground without trees. |

Yes it would be a difficult army to play, but I am all up for that... it makes the victory feel very good @Mertaal, I would be buying for this list, so bows would be an option. |

This is my elite wood elves list that I have always wanted to buy if a spare £100 came my way. Straight forward purchases as well. Thranduil, Rumil, 2x Guard of the Galadhrim Court blisters, 2x Wood Elf Sentinels blisters and 1x Galadhrim warriors box. Simple Thranduil causes the terror bubble and has the natures wrath to stop the army getting swarmed. Rumil forms the spearhead for a tough pike block. Sentinels have their magic and 2A, combined with the Guards pikes this can add up to 4A at F6 which is nice. It's not truly competitive but it's definitely elite and would be good fun to play Thranduil + Bow + Armour 4 Galadhrim + Spear + Shield 4 Guard of the galadhrim 3 Wood elf sentinels 1 Galad + Bow Rumil 4 Galadhrim (2 with elven blade) 4 Guard of the galadhrim 3 Wood elf sentinels 1 Galad + Bow Total = 500 Points, 26 Models, 6 Might, 8 Bow, Magic, Elites Anyways, Lord Maedhros as Mertaal said try to include some bows as even though you may get out shot by some armies you're missing out on elven archery and when you do face an army that has no shooting you have the advantage of sitting back and hopefully evening the numbers a bit as you are likely to be outnumbered. |

What about this army? Warband 1 Beorn Warband 2 Bard 2 Great Eagles Total 500 points... Lots of Monsters, I would use Bard as archer support to make use of his special rules. |

Why so many sentinels? Most armies only have like 1 or 2 characters worth singing to every round. |
