So Sauron has returned to Mordor and he's brought his new toys. This army list is based on representing Sauron's personal contribution to the forces of evil in Middle-earth at the end of the Third Age. It's lead by the Witch-King on a fell beast, has a warband of Black Numenorians, a troll, and a bunch of orcs. Like the rug in the Dude's apartment I need something to really tie the army together. I want to keep the basic elements mentioned above but with modifications so it's competitive on the battlefield. Have a look at the list and please let know what you recommend! Warband 1 Witch-King -horned fell beast -crown of Morgul -Morgul blade Warband 2 Named Ringwraith (which one??) -armoured horse Morgul night x4 -war horn Warband 3 Mordor Troll Chieftain Orc x 9 -shield x 4 -spear x 4 -2 handed x 1 TOTAL POINTS: 694pts Remaining points to get to 750: 56pts Perhaps change the Troll Chieftain to a normal Troll, get rid of the second named Ringwraith, add some Uruk-Hai/Specters/Morannon Orcs/Black Guards or even a Siege Bow? I'm happy to discuss what models would best represent Sauron's contribution as well if people want to discuss lore so go ahead! Thanks for your help! I'll be going to Games Workshop on Boxing Day (Sydney time) so any advice would be appreciated. I haven't played LoTR for years so I'm keen to get back into it! Edit: Points values removed so you'll just have to take my word for it! |

You really need to remove all the points values before the mods just [word deleted]. |

Mordor sourcebook offers a great variety of choice for your army. Most people would say: pick a) b) c) as for me maybe you need to look at all the range of your models and make sure what you need. one ideal way to make sure what else you might need its the know that type of unit weakenesses... ex: orc warriors = cheap = cheap means bad at staing alive = cannon fodder = you need numbers to compensate that weakness If you run through your army you can get some ideas and most of all tell yourself why you need the witch king or the troll or a 2nd nazgul and keep checking what you exactly need. |

I'd say two Nazgul are too many. Take the Witchking, Morgul Knights and the troll chieftain. That gives you two heroes for opponents to be scared of. Fill the remaining points with heavy hitters like Black Guard, Mordor Uruk Hai, or lots of Morannons. |

2 nazguls are not 2 much if he take ringwraiths and not named ones :P He can get a really cheap wraith for those spells while the witch king conserve his will to the max for the fight, as it justify more knowing he got 3A btw how many will are you taking on the witch king? I suppose with all those upgrades he should be around 20 correct? |

Sorry earlier I couldnt post much because I was on my mobile but here's what Id say: 1-Take out the second named wraith and put in Shagrat the General or whatever. Hes a maniac 2-If youre dead set on it go ahead, but to me Morgul Knights are just thrown away points. 3-Throw in Morannons and if youd like Black Guard.....but to be honest morannons have enough killin power. |

Also I recommend you drop the warhorn. You really don't need it and theres more points for orcs. |
