I've got a tournament coming up and I've had what appears to me to be a wonderful idea for a list. I'm actually surprised I fit so many components into it.

Uruk-Hai Captain with Shield and Heavy Armour
5x Uruk-Hai Warriors with Shield
6x Uruk-Hai Warriors with Pike
1x Uruk-Hai Warrior with Pike and Banner

Sharku with Warg and Shield
5x Warg Riders

Uruk-Hai Shaman with Spear
8x Uruk-Hai Warriors with Crossbow
3x Uruk-Hai Warriors with Pike

29 models, 8 bows, reasonably efficient cavalry piece.
I'm considering dropping the banner to make all the front shield warriors into Ferals, which would give me more initial punch but less survivablity.I don't have Vrasku, but even if I did I'm not sure I'd field him, as without the captain I don't have a decent combat hero, as Sharku would need to conserve his might. Thoughts?

Its amazing with Isengard what you can do.

I went to a 750 pt tournament last year and had 52 units.....of Uruks.

Shaman, Vrasku, Mauhur, Ugluk.

I had 16 x bows, 12 raiders, 12 ferals, and 8 with shield.

Your list looks good. Id trade the captain for Vrasku personally, but otherwise your list is perfect to me.

The many facets of Isengard sometimes lead to a lot of agonising decision making when writing lists. I always want to fit in a good pike wall, and of of course a good number of crossbows, and sure I might as well throw in a banner. Now I want the Warg riders, the troll, and maybe a fast-moving unit of Marauders. Why not put in a Warband of Berserkers too to add punch? Finally, I could put in Saruman too, just to tie everything in.
I can never get what I want with Isengard.

Everyone always says you need Saruman. Yeah hes good, and Isengards only magic, but Ive never had him be worth his points in the Isengard list. I just stopped taking him.

What I eventually did was ally in a Ringwraith unnamed. Im sure at some point a wraith would have visited him. So I used an unnamed one on horse, with Vrasku still leading my army. It worked amazingly.

As for trying to make your force....personally.....I dont mind leaving out trolls. I make sure I have ferals/berserkers, shaman, x bows, then anything after that is all good but not necessary imo.

Either way, a lot of nice choices.

Saruman was a "must have" when he had the ability to cast spell everywhere, able to stop a hero standing on the opposite side of the field without any danger of being exposed.

But I notice something in Isulduhrr's army: A bannerbearer with a pike. If I do remember correctly, I bannermen cannot have a pike because it requires two hands, and he's already holding a banner.

As for Vrasku, it's a model who always made his points back, and even more. Two crossbow shots with 2/3 chance of hitting are something your opponent will always consider. He only needs a 5 to score a wound against def 6 model.
