Hi folks! I can't decide between two 750 pt lists for a friendly game this weekend. Let me know what you think!

List 1:

Warband 1:
Aragorn, Isildur's Heir
3 Rangers of Arnor
4 Rangers of Arnor with spear

Warband 2:
Elladan & Elrohir with elven cloak and bows
4 Rangers of Arnor

Warband 3:
Legolas with elven cloak
Gimli with elven cloak

Warband 4 & 5:
2 Rangers of the North on horse

Warband 6:
1 Ranger of the North with spear

20 models, 18 might! 20 bow shots per turn.

List 2:

Warband 1:
Elladan & Elrohir with bows and elven cloaks
7 Rangers of Arnor
4 Rangers of Arnor with spears

Warband 2:
Aragorn (fellowship) with armor, bow, and horse

Warband 3:
Legolas with armor and elven cloak
Gimli with elven cloak

Warband 4 & 5:
2 Rangers of the North with horse

Warband 6:
1 Ranger of the North with spear

I guess the major choice is between using the Isildur's Heir Aragorn or the Fellowship Aragorn on horse. The horse makes him much deadlier in combat, but lacks the thematic army-buffing abilities of the Isildur's Heir profile. Both forces are short on numbers, but very themey and fun.

The alternative to either is a mixture of Grey Company and High Elves. Cheers!

I think the first list is the better choice here. More models and more bow shots are invaluable. Still quite an elite army but if played with terrain to your advantage and grouped well you could get out some serious damage!

Agreed. I like Isuldur's heir profile a lot better for the Grey company. The banner effects I think is really important when you're dealing with such low numbers and the woodland creature effects can be cool too.

Hi guys! Thanks for the feedback. I had a couple of games today using the first list featuring Aragorn, Isildur's Heir. The list functioned very well. It played a lot like an all hero list, but with the added functionality of 18 odd bows backing the heroes up. I will definitely field similar lists in future!
