had a game a week ago when this came up my opponent took grey company as a ally but had just 1 ranger of the north with 4 rangers. he said that how he read it that the rangers needed didn't need to be with a non independed hero. i disagreed with him but let it slide since he didn't have anything else with him at the time to replace them. so am i right that the rangers still need to be with a non independed hero as well as the ranger of the north to field the grey company. also a quick question saruman the wise (five army's) why does he has aura of command and not terrifying aura ? it seems wasted for him to have that spell since he has the best stand fast in the game. |

You are correct. The rangers still need a non-independent hero to lead them. The RotN or Dunedain only allow you to play up to 4 rangers. |

For Saruman's aura of command the spell it's more about passing the other courage tests, fell light and the like, rather than stand fasts for him. |
