Hi All,
I have a 700 point tournament coming up
I just wondered what you all thought of my first (of many) army lists?
Warband 1
Gil-Galad with Shield and Armoured Horse (Leader)
6 High Elf Warriors with Shield
4 High Elf Warriors with Elf Bow and Spear
2 High Elf Warriors with Shield and Spear
Warband 2
Erestor
6 High Elf Warriors with Shield
4 High Elf Warriors with Elf Bow and Spear
2 High Elf Warriors with Shield and Spear
Warband 3
Rivendell Knight Captain with Shield
5 Rivendell Knights with Shield
700, 32
Tournament special rules is that an unnamed hero in force can get lucky charms.
6 might, +1 to wound, High Defence, Low numbers
PS this was edited from a wood elf list so some of the below comments respond to that.
Thanks

I am inclined to suggest that you replace the wizard with Galadriel from the new white council and give her warband to a fighter if you have one. Rumil would be ideal but even a Captain would do just to have someone who could do some fighting. The newer Galadriel would probably serve you better in the support department anyway.

How about something like this
Warband 1
Legolas with Armour and Elven Cloak
4 Wood Elves with Elf Bow
4 Wood Elves with Wood Elf Spear
4 Wood Elves with Elven Blade
Warband 2
Thranduil with armour and Elf Bow
4 Wood Elves with Elf Bow
4 Wood Elves with Wood Elf Spear
4 Wood Elves with Elven Blade
Warband 3
Haldir with Elf Bow
4 Wood Elves with Elf Bow
4 Wood Elves with Wood Elf Spear
4 Wood Elves with Elven Blade
Warband 4
Galadriel Lady of Light
I am an Elf player and I don't like using Rumil that often.

I don't follow your comment about Rumil but I'd say you have a better chance with the new selection of heroes when going up against wraiths. Just be sure to make the most of fortify spirits and the constant blinding light. Between that Thranduil's magic and the bow fire you should have a good shot.

Rumil's a good value, but I'd be OK with Haldir as well. I agree that I think the 2nd list might be a bit better. It's less anti-Fell Beast (at least magic wise), but is probably more versatile. Wan Shi's recommendations about Galadriel are generally advisable as well, but with a caveat - it's a tough balancing act between keeping your troops close to Galadriel, but also not bunching up too much and being susceptible to Hurl.

That being said, Galadriel's Banishment is pretty scary for Ringwraith players, and they'll likely try to stay away from her, and hit you on the fringes. She'll want to try to get in and get those Banishment's off with her free Will point, as it will drain a lot of Will to resist.

Your force is pretty squishy, so a straight up fight isn't your strength. Run and shoot is probably better. But it sounds like you play Elves, so you probably already know that.
