Hi guys, a friend recently gave me 24 orcs so I thought I'd start an Angmar army. But what should I add to begin? Any suggestions on what to buy next and what a good start list would be?

Soo... You will want a shade(50USD), some cave trolls with hammers for burly(2)(30USDea.), Buhrdur for the might(30USD?), and maybe a wraith of your choosing. Keep the orcs close to the spirits to give them the terror bonus, and you are golden. However, this could cost a bit. However, you can save money on the wraith by converting 3 warriors of the dead into one, if you have them(not tournament legal, but works). Otherwise just get the wraith, it will look nicer. Trolls are unique... See if you can get the plastic mould on ebay, though. The above prices are from GW.

I just picked one up for my Angmar Army. :)
I'm doing something a little difference and rather than calvary I'm using unmounted Wargs led by the warg chieften as my mobile force. I don't know how competetive it will be but should be fun! Other than the Chieften all of my heroes are spirits.

Here is another idea, but warg riders, find some magic hero to make them pass courage tests, and dismount immediately. Warg deaths don't count, and it is cheaper pts as well.

I decided to start an angmar recently as well and doing same for mobile warband..chieften with half wild wargs and half warg riders... two barrows with orcs and a spectre each..witch king on armour horse,crown,morgul blade and full m/w/f leading orcs trolls and im not sure what else in there..i think one version had buhrdur

The morale is he chieften..think its a cool model, decent profile..just wish it could get knock to ground or use rend or something to make it more awesome..

Interesting. 3 trolls sounds like a lot of trolls to deal with at 600 points, only two heroes. Hmmm.

I mean, they are mini heroes and monsters, with +1 to wound. Hurl to break the shieldwall lines.
