Oh, I did see some... many years ago... but all I can remember is 'Luke, I'm your father...' and then the fight with 70-80's disco-lamps... and a hairy monky and a golden robot (who reminds me to some dental paste for some reason (don't ask me why)) and the vacuummachine..
I've seen some parts of the movies, but never cared to see it completely.. it really isn't my cup of tea I'm afraid.
heh...

I'm guilty to Bart, so don't worry, never seen Star Wars either..
I knew who Jabba was just because of two of my friends who like Star Wars (even addicted to it now it's an MMORPG aswell..) and because of Family Guy, one of my favourite TV series, who made some Star Wars-like episodes (especially the one with the HanJob commercial was great xD) (:

Anyway, great sculpting so far! Keep up!

Happy Newyear btw (to everyone reading this ofcourse) ;)

Made some slow progress...
I'm struggleing with the blade.. Didn't find the right plasticard (or replacement I can find in the garbage) so I'm probably ruining it with greenstuff... but I'll find a way some time soon I hope.

Some more skin added, also working on some tusks....

It's certainly shaping out nicely (if you can call a GUO nice...). Good luck with the blade, I can't offer you any tips I'm afraid as this aspect of the hobby really isn't my strong point.

This is just bizarre! Nicely sculpted, but bizarre.

I'll be really keen to see the finished thing fully painted to your usual standard.

thanks :-)
The main idea was to go for a snail-alike thing... but it turned out more into some kinda grub-lord.. grub-demon(ess)... anyway, some fat mutated thing...
I regret I didn't make the boobs larger, to go for a "female" unclean one... but, it's chaos and nurgle, so who'll see the difference anyway :-)

The only point to me is avoiding to buy a games workshop (i don' tlike him) or forgeworld (now that's ace) one (to save the money)... although this afternoon I came accross another awesome one from maxmini... It's very tempting, my fingers tickle to buy it.

another update of my great unclean one... the horns are still unfinished...

Also been sniffing around in my backlog and felt like painting again, but something different then always the Games Workshop mini's...

Here's an elven captain from Minaturas Del Castillo:

A female mage with staff from Dark Sword / Elmore:

The angle of the photo makes so much difference it seems, the eyes on the pic look more 'sleepy' then it is in real life...

And the Heresy 'Minor Fallen One':

Got some more mini's on my desk aswell from other companies (ebob, more dark sword, more heresy, hasslefree, spyglass, avatars of war and gamezone) which are in the line aswell (hope to get them all done this year...)

Seem to have missed out the progress in this thread. I like the sculpt of the jabba like creature.

Did some work on the Elven captain...
Still not pleased with the chainmail and sword in particular.
Not sure about the 'freehand' on the cape either... It looks a bit.. incomplete..

I'm really liking that sword, it looks awesome to me. I agreea bout the freehand though, those x's look like the should continue.....I ws going to suggest making little stars on the end of the x's, but that doesn't seem like it would look good. I don't know, something more is needed, but I don't know what.

Thanks guys :-)

Tried some more work on the sword and expanded the freehand a bit.
I like the design much better now... I only have to make it cleaner (not as messy as it is now).

Meanwhile also started a Heresy troll I've had for many years on my shelf and never knew how to paint him...
I'm liking it so far, the colors look better in real then on the pic though...

Tough I'm not a great fan of the elf sculpt, I do love what you've done with him.
I really like the freehand on the cloak. :yay:

Did you make the stone tiles on the base or did you buy them?

And the troll looks really good so far, I love the choice of colours.

Thanks :-)
The base on the Elf is from the Ancient Ruins set from Micro Art Studios

For the troll I'm still wondering what kinda base to use... But I have something with snow in my mind, to accentuate the colours of the troll...
He's a kinda pain to hold in your hands... I can't find anything decend to put him on for a temporary time so I have to hold him in my hands, which caused some paint-damage already. But I'll spartle myself through that some time (if no other figures distract me)

Done some progress on some of the mini's on my desk, and started some more meanwhile..
I like these mini's a lot, it's like a fresh breath, painting random things that have nothing to do with armies or themes... Give me no pressure at all or limits in uniforms etc...
