I'm gonna start this thread off with my first 40k piece... a Tactical Marine:

I think I'm getting better and better, and I really love how this guy turned out. The picture in my opinion isn't the best, but the marine looks stunning in real (at least to me  )

I'll post the CMoN link when it get's accepted :)

Feedback is greatly appreciated...

Thanks... they symbolise how many enemies he's killed (I don't know what the ratio is, like 1 stripe = 100 kills or something  ), and I figured it'd give him a slightly original look :)

The blue's excellent and blood spatters are fairly spot on from what I can see RoG. The only area I believe you need to work on is your gold metallics. This is a problem with a lot of minis I've seen, and for one main reason: GW's gold straight out of the pot is way to orange and doesn't really look like any actual metal at all.

Its best to base it like what you've done, then wash it dark brown or a thin black glaze. Then highlight by adding increasing amounts of silver. This can really change the look around. Try the recipe in my WiP Sons of Orar thread and you'll be pleasantly surprised at the difference it makes - not only does adding silver paint smooth out the colour (Way more flakes in GW silver paint) but it will also correct the orangey hue of the straight-out-of-the-pot suff.
