Here's an Old Marauder(GW) Ogre from 1989. I've just repainted him. Here's a Reaper Bones Banshee. The figure is translucent Green. I just did a green wash and painted up the base. Another Reaper Bones, Ghostly Summons. More Translucent Green with a green wash. I also did some light white dry brushing This is my 2nd Otherworld Troll. I love these figures inspired by the old D&D Monster Manual. And the last is more Reaper Bones. I love this line. Here are 4 Spiders with a Mirkwood inspired base. I might add some webbing later. More pics, and bigger versions of the pics and write up on my blog: http://xinslair.blogspot.com/2015/01/big-update-reaper-otherworld-and-gw.html Cheers, |

Nice models and painting! Are those spiders on 40mm bases? I was wondering whether they would be good Giant Spiders or not. |

The Spiders are on 1 inch fender washers. They would be a little small on a 40mm, but certainly doable. Here's some pics. So what we have here is: Reaper Bones Giant Spider on a 60mm base(upper Left) 2 GW spiders on 40mm bases(Lower left) 2 Reaper Bones Vermin Spider on 40mm base(far right) 2 D&D spiders on integral bases, about an inch(middle lower) So you can see, the Vermin Spiders are a little smaller than the GW spiders, but it would still work. In fact it would give you lots of room to model a nice base. And you can't beat the price. In the U.S. it's $2.50 for 2 spiders. More pics: Hope that helps |
