Hi I am about to start using Hirst Arts to create some scenery and have been looking online for dental plaster... Does anyone In the know a good place with cheap delivery? Or a retail outlet that sells it? Also anyone else had good results with Hirst Arts molds? Many thanks |

Hey Leonardis Hirst Arts molds are awesome. Probably the best molds you can get. You can see my first Hirst Arts project here viewtopic.php?f=50&t=20321 I cast with hydrostone - which as far as I understand is the same stuff used by dentists for casting. It is brilliant stuff (hard to break) but a little expensive. I'm in Australia and my supplier is http://www.barnes.com.au/catalog/index.php?cPath=79_171 If you are elsewhere you'll have to hunt the web for a decent supplier. Others might be able to help you here. |

I bought 25kg of plaster from Tiranti and I can highly recommend it. I bought the classic plaster, it sets in ten minutes and is hard, but does not snap easily. And it's very cheap, (10 pound for 25kg with another 10 pound for shipping to the Netherlands.) http://www.tiranti.co.uk/subdivision_pr ... bdivision= |
