Post subject:  Green Dragon's "The Hobbit" Thread

SECOND EDIT: I have combed through this thread and removed all traces of any leaked information or even hints at it. It seems I may have almost breached a disclosure agreement, (bordering on) with some of the things in this thread. Somebody took it upon themselves to inform GW, who in turn - informed me. I took a good, deep read of the policy and thus made the changes accordingly. For now, all that want to know will have to wait until just after midnight this coming Saturday for all the information and pick up a copy of White Dwarf.

EDIT: This was originally a thread to give feedback on December White Dwarf, but has sort of spiralled into a thread between me and you guys about The Hobbit release. So I've renamed it as such.

The free shipping code for onering members is "oneringexclusive" - without the quote marks.

I thought I'd pre-empt all the excitement and start an official thread HERE so that we can all pitch in and give our feedback/excitement on this amazing issue.

So we had the rumors going round that November's White Dwarf would contain all the juicy information. It did not. But now we have concrete 100% solid info that Decembers will be the one. It will be about the Hobbit. Retailers like myself place our orders for White Dwarfs on Monday (and you can pre-order it from me at £4.89 right here http://www.greendragongames.co.uk/deals ... f-396.html).

I would expect to receive my copies on Weds/Thurs ready to reach you guys FOR the Saturday. I would possibly expect Russian info to leak on Tuesday (they seem to get W.D before us). Follow this thread, check it as often as you can - full release info on Saturday 24th on here and my website.

Don't forget as well, if you do order from me, code "oneringexclusive" gets you FREE SHIPPING over £10 if you are a one ring forum member and November is also free gift month as per our newsletter code "NOV12-AWESOME" gets you a small free gift on orders over £10 as well.

Hobbit pre-orders will be going up at 00:01 on the announce date (which is the 24th) and I can reserve copies of White Dwarfs if you'd rather wait and order it with Hobbit stuff - just send me a P.M asap as I only have limited numbers!

Until then, the next few days are the closest we've ever been. Make sure you've ordered your cinema tickets too!

:gandalf: :frodo: :gimli: :D

Does the free shipping apply to E.U. countries outside the U.K.?

Post subject:  Re: December's White Dwarf

That it does! Can't ship Gw to Australia or the states though due to embargo

This is great. Economic rationality inclines me to consider OneRing's resident Wargaming store owner as a main choice for my Hobbit purchases :-D :meh:

For how long will the coupon be valid?

I would love to order my hobbit box from you if the shipping code is still valid then! Cool!

Code "oneringexclusive" is a constant code and will not expire anytime soon - it's my sort of "thing" as the resident retailer on this forum, my way of saying thanks to you guys. So write it down and use it as many times as you want! Has to be over £10 GBP (or Euro equivalant) and cannot ship to U.S and Aus (on GW lines) are they only conditions =D

I'm back to working on uploading more products today, so bear with us! Dead excited about White Dwarf.

Hi Green Dragon,

If i order from you will i recieve it before GW can?

Post subject:  Re: December's White Dwarf

Hello Harfoot,

A very good question, working on the theory that the release date is indeed Sat Dec 1st. I would expect to recieve my first allocation of The Hobbit around Weds/Thurs before the release day. I will then be shipping by Royal Mail on the Friday, so I would think a safe bet would be to expect it the following Monday (Saturday if you're very lucky or live in Devon), around Weds for further out regions such as Europe. We'll do everything we can here to get it to you a.s.a.p.

Of course you can walk into your local GW on that Saturday and pick it up, but the reason we think you should go with us, is our free shipping, around 25% off and the December campaign will also see a free mini with every order. Worth the wait :)

Sorry, yes - my apologies for that. GW really have our balls in a vice so to speak :(

Post subject:  Re: Green Dragon's "The Hobbit" Thread

Yeah, almost all of my GW purchases before the embargo were from UK suppliers (or ebay, especially ebay). Now...well, I just don't buy the things. I think the last thing I purchased was from an indie place in the US.

Though I am going to suck it up and buy the next boxed set, because, well, screw it. It will make me happy. Though I fully intend to be a lot more ruthless about what I'm getting this time 'round. Bump up my Angmar force, realise my Rivendell force, maybe later explore a Laketown/Dale force. And I'll likely wait until I am spending time in Ireland or Britain to purchase more.

Good news I suppose, any idea how many things you will be getting in relating to the Hobbit?

Not sure what you mean by things, it depends what they announce but will be carrying all the new lines available to stockists. Eagerly awaiting the new White Dwarf this coming week. Beavering away working on the site at the moment, the LotR section has grown and will continue to grow today too ready for a good launch on Saturday :) I'll post a full release list as soon as I can.

EDIT: Just removed our last Mines of Moria set from the website. Thats it now! New rules and boxset coming soon...
