Where do some of the more prolific eBay stores source their models from? They have stocks far too large to be buying and re-selling. Some of the better ones seem to be in the UK as well, are there secret warehouses full of old lotr stuff? Or are they just really good at finding good garage sales with boxes of stuff?

They probably buy up entire collections from people and gradually sell them off.

Or if they are based in Eastern Europe they all tend to be recasts. For that reason I only tend to by NIB stuff, no fakes for me

Please remember that Lotr was very popular in other countries too.
There is still lots of players, collectors out there selling/reorganize their collections. Personally i know few shops still selling rest of their OOP stuff.

I agree with SouthernDunedain regarding BNiB's, they are more valuable and should be priced a bit higher, opening new blister is priceless (if you really want them open :). Also you have 101% guarantee they are original.

As for the fakes hmm... im from Eastern Europe but never bought fakes here but i see few mostly in UK :) So please do not generalize :-D
