Post subject:  moulds and casting

I was wondering what's an easy and cheap way to do some mould making and casting? I have no idea how much it can cost and what products to use.
And what's best casting a plastic? Or better plaster or something else?? Dunno what's the best for figures. And what's the best for bigger objects? Without it crumbling down. I want to have a strong replica that doesn't break or gets damaged quickly.

 i could use some help :-D

I don't have first hand experience with casting, but many hobbyists are using resin casting to produce some very fine sculpts.
Alumilite comes to mind as a product that has good reviews. http://www.alumilite.com/index.cfm
I'm sure there are others.
Resin casting can capture incredible detail and is strong, yet light weight.
This is a site for casting with resin, very informative: http://www.isp.ca/Sylvan/modelling.htm
Good luck

This one has lots of tutorials and materials aswell.
You can also contact them for info about what exactly you want to do and they'll advise you the best products...
They have a distributor in Holland (not in Belgium I believe...)
