I thought, "Of course not."
My son disagrees: "The only penalty listed for unarmed is -1 on Fight roll; there is no mention of not wounding, so of course they can wound," he said patiently.
I replied, "So my Cirdan wins the fight, despite -1 on the roll, and kills the Morannon Orc with no weapons?"
"Happens all the time in Assassin's Creed," he said, demonstrating a classic Kill'em With Thier Own Sword move.
Good argument.
What's the verdict?

(this felt like a noob question...though it might belong under Rules)

Assassin's Creed is right ;) There's nothing in the rules preventing wounding.

You can kill people with your bare hands if you're good enough... and I imagine Cirdan probably is...

Have you ever seen Patrick Swayze's talent/special move in Roadhouse?

The one rulebook states that models without weapons can fight BUT have a -1 penalty on rolls to decide the winner of the combat.
