Can someone help me out with giving me an idea of what is in the FotR Journeybook in particular profiles. I am not asking for points values and such but just for an idea of what is in the book and if it is worth putting in an eBay bid for, i haven't the time to go to my local GW tomorrow and the bidding ends tomorrow night. Just a bit of help so i know what i am in for. In fact a similar thing, profile examples, for the RotK book would help, just so i know if it is worth the purchase as i can't find a page on the stuff it may conatin. 'FireKnife' |

That is the one of the 3 journey books that I do not have, so cannot help you sorry. However I believe that Tom Bombaadil and Barrow-wights are in it, as are goblins. |

Ok, so profiles that are already available, any help on the RotK one too would help, mostly as i am prepeared to buy it if it has good scenarios and profiles but not painting and scenery guides. 'FireKnife' |

Thank you very much for the PM, it helped sort out if i should buy it. Too bad my local club doesn't bother much with special scenarios and as for guides like painting and scenery as i prefer to do it all myself, not a fan on those guides. 'FireKnife' |

I think the Journey Books are really at their best for the scenarios. If you don't have an interest in them the rest of the material can generally be found elsewhere with few exceptions. |

So basically all the profiles that are in the main rulebook or the Ruins of Arnor? Ok so that really makes it somewhat pointless to me, thanks for the heads up guys. 'FireKnife' |

Yes, but as i don't ever plan to use him (don't like Elves much) then i can't see a point in getting the book lol. 'FireKnife' |

No i haven't got The Two Towers one but i have a mate that does and he gave me the profiles for Isengard Trolls and Feral Uruks (which i already had off the site but needed to change the points value). Really i am not too fussed with these as the profiles can be gotten from other areas and the scenarios mean that only one player really needs the book plus you need all the models. I wish GW would just answer me as to why they don't sell a profile book for SBG, so i am going to stick with my idea of them trying to squeeze every penny out of it. 'FireKnife' |

It is also rumoured that many other things will have but being GW it could take forever. 'FireKnife' |

Aren't all the profiles and special rules for the sourcebooks and journeybooks available in PDFs online? That, combined with the LoME book pretty much give you what you need for army building (yeah, a couple minor point variations in LoME but really not much). |

No, the special rules are there but not the profiles, at least i haven't found them. 'FireKnife' |

Hang on, right from the GW site itself (so i hope this is acceptable): http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/conte ... Id=5700005 Just add a little LoME and a dash of window switching on the net and thus you have the rules and the profiles to match. For ages i have been trying to find the Outrider profile and there it is under TTT pdf. 'FireKnife' |
