Hi guys and girls. I've just recently decided to get back into warhammer and decided to veer away from 40k and stick to LOTR as I have a ton of models back from when I was a child. I'm currently stuck with choice with what to play though, as I have a wide variety of models from both good and evil armies and with the release of the hobbit i'm not sure whether to branch out and just concentrate on new miniatures. My main questions are: (1) Do you think the hobbit will become more played than WoTR? (2) Is it possible to use LOTR miniatures in hobbit games at the minute? (3) What are the newest releases to the LOTR range? I've been out of the loop for quite some time! I know the answers might be easy to find if I dug around, but I thought coming to somewhere with knowledge would be the best bet! Thanks for any help in advance -Kyle |

Hello there!! Welcome! 1. It already is 2. Yes, they are completly compatible. LoTR = The Hobbit 3. Well let's see... The last wave I can remember was: Easterling katerphracts Great beast of gorgoroth watcher in the water Easterling dragon knight Amdur Groblog, king of the deeps Ashrak Warg marauder Casualties Rohan, Gondor, Dwarven and Galadhrim commander packs Dwaller in the dark 5 new army books and also a new finecast fellowship (mines of moria version) And also everything in the Hobbit range Also, the deployment and structural system of the game has been changed. Now armies consist of warbands. Each warband consists of 1 hero leading up to 12 warriors (all of which must be from the same faction (ie Faramir leading 12 Knights of minas tirith would be a legit warband)) I hope this helps If you have any more questions just shout |

Very informative reply. Is it possible to mix various warbands then? Such as rohan and minas tirith, each with their own seperate warband but on the same army? |

Quote: Is it possible to mix various warbands then? Such as rohan and minas tirith, each with their own seperate warband but on the same army? As long as each warband is commanded by a hero from the corresponding army list then yup, you can have allied warbands in the same army eg Faramir must command troops from Gondor's army list. Hope that helps! |
