I've done some Googling and have scanned the forum, too, so please forgive me if this is posted somewhere already, but I'm looking for a list of the point costs for the various characters. I have the Hobbit rulebook along with the three rulebooks from the LotR movies and have slowly begun making my own list, but was hoping there was a definitive list of characters/models and what their point cost is to field them. Preferably nothing fancy, just maybe an alphabetical list. |

it is called the sourcebooks. Sorry, but this is against the rules. Why should we give you something for free that we have had to pay for? |

As SD says, against the rules sorry. Why not take a peek in a GW store's open copy? |

Why do you even need the points values when you "already have the Hobbit rulebook along with the others?" In that case you already have most of the profiles, and the ones you're missing will be found in the sourcebooks. As stated above, we cannot give out rules and points values/statistics. Please check the forum rules and guidelines in future. |

Not trying to break any "rules", just hoping there was a definitive list that would save me the trouble of creating my own. Instead of having to scrounge through various rule books it is much more convenient to have one list for reference. About halfway through working on my own, I found a download of an XLS that has the information. It is much cleaner and better organized than my futile attempt. I'm sure in the future GW will make a "master list" and have us pay extra for it |

I built my own on an old laptop that I now store with my models. It's also useful for in game tracking of MWF etc Only took half an hour to an hour |

Nothing wrong with creating your own list for quick reference, use in games, etc etc. Youu'll have to source the statistics and points values yourself i.e. through the rulebooks and sourcebooks, as by forum rules and from my opinion a standard of principles we cannot distribute them here. |

One other sort of related question: I'm new to Warhammer/LotR, but have RPGed for years and I've relied on various software apps to speed up gameplay and lessen the load of hauling rulebooks to gaming sessions. Things like electronic DM screens, rules references, etc. Are there any recommended apps (preferably Windows or Android based) that you guys/gals use on a regular basis (combat trackers, etc)? At this point I've made my own stat/point spreadsheet and a quick reference sheet of tables/charts and a few rules notes. |

At the moment there are no apps that support LotR/The Hobbit. I seem to remember one being talked about as being in development a few months ago, but I don't know if it ever took off or not. For the moment I simply use a basic spreadsheet app. |

I've had a hankering to make an iPad app, but spending many dozen hours of work to find out GW would be upset, it's not worth the bother. It's a perfect example of how when they clamp down too tightly, the community never really gets involved in its perpetuation and expansion. |

I ran across an app called BattleScribe that's free and runs on iOS, Android, Win, Linux, etc. I haven't had a chance to do much with it, but there are community made army lists for Warhammer and Flames of War and the ability to make your own for other systems. |

I made a Battlescribe file for personal use with all the stats (lotr) and with the model rules in Dutch, creating a Roster on the pc is easy. On the ipad it misses a good overieuw since it a iphone app. |

I've got battle scribe on ipod but there's no lotr thing on it, so I deleted it. Army builder demo on computer is fine for me. |
