Ok does his special rule only kick in for matches with reinforcements or even with to the death if hes place first do the rest of the warbands benefit from his rule?

Seems confusing....the wording I mean. He seems so absolutely not worth it/nerfed if it is only on specific scenarios...

It only works on hold ground/ recon scenarios. Bear in mind his rule was written at a time when everything deployed individually and there were more point match scenarios that required reinforcement rolls. Plus it comes in handy for narrative scenarios. If all else fails, he is a cheap 3 might hero with a bow.

Yeah I guess so. I still dont find him for his stats to be worth the points. Oh well thanks for the info though man!

Actually my group includes his effect for the deployment of To the Death as well. It seems that he was meant to be able to do that but poor wording prevented it. Honestly I don't see the problem with adding +1 to your deployment roll.

Yeah the whole point was meant to get his rangers away from close quarters battle.
