One final blow. Can haldir adjust this rule/ability with might? considering it is activated when he dies.
Thanks.

I ask this as it came up in a game I played tonight where haldir died and needed a 5 and got a 4 and had 1 might left but the GW staff thought I couldn't due to him being slain before he does it.Which is impossible.

I don't think there is a FAQ on it. But if he's getting his last blow in, he's not dead yet, so why not allow the use of Might?

I agree with whafrog, it makes sense to work the two together anyway

Alot of GW staff don't know the LOTR rules that well. I'd say yes. :)

I agree with the above, he should still be able to use the might to change the roles.

If I may add a further question, does one final blow apply to spear/pike support. So can he kill them too? I can't remember the ruling on this....

As regarding to the original question, I'd say yes.

As regarding to Haldir's question, I'd say no, as they aren't in base contact and aren't technally in the fight. Please correct me if I'm wrong, someone.

Agreed, there's nothing in his rule that makes wounding any different.

I know we probably aren't allowed to post what the actual rule is int his thread, but I can't see it under his profile in the The One Ring edition of the rule book. Is it only in the Hobbit rulebook?

It's only in Haldir, Defender of Helm's Deep's profile, not the normal haldir with expert shot.

I can only find one version of Haldir in The One Ring book. I check under Woodland Realm forces and under Rohan forces. Any other place it could be hiding, or is it just not in that book?

The profile is found in The Free Peoples Sourcebook - the One Rulebook is long since outdated my friend.

Ah ok. I see it now.

We've been using the one ring book as I just couldn't be bothered spending all that money on getting so many different books when they all used to be in just one. I know that if I ever took part in a tournament this wouldn't go down so well, but I only play with one person and he's happy enough doing it this way.

My question is: Why would you use that Haldir profile? I'd much rather have the extra shot

Well, they were never "in just one", the OR book only has a subset of the all the profiles. In any case, the new Haldir profile was released in a WD issue before being added to the Free People's sourcebook.

Oh I had no idea. Ah well. The OR seems to be fine for now. I can always get the rest of the sourcebooks if need be, but until I need them I probably won't bother.
