Hi there Great Wulf 8)

There is a small group of us that currently play at SAD (swindon and district) Wargamers club

http://www.sadwargamers.com/home/

It's at the Moredon Community Centre as shown in the link above. Wednesdays from 7pm until roughly 10.30pm

The games include SBG, WOTR and Battle Companies. Most of the group is currently away but PM me and we can sort something out in the near future.

What are you looking to play?

Hello back Nikrandonia,

Great, I prob won't be ready for a month or so anyway, most of my stuff is new & boxed up. I haven't played since the first return of the king rule book. So quite some time ago now.

I guess I'd look at playing SBG first but pretty open to anything.
I'm starting again from scratch. At the moment I have about 500pts of Rangers (Gondor).

But I've got some pretty nice ideas for a Dunland army, as long as you are happy for me to use non GW models.

What's the age range like? As I'm in mid 20's.

Also great that the club does not finish until 22.30 as I do not finish work until 20.00.

Cheers. :D

Aged range is good in the SAD Gamers, youngest is early 20s going up to (cough, cough, late 40s!) with a few in between.

Always good to get more players

Indeed, the more players the better :)

The club technically closes at 11pm but at around 10.30-10.45pm people generally start to pack up.

We will catch you up with the latest rules. Battle companies is usually ideal for starting small and building up.

I look forward to seeing your Gondor or Dunland army 8)

Hey! A few years late!

Do you guys still play at SAD Gamers? After a false start a few years ago I only really started this year back in January, but I'm fully embedded into it now.

Do you guys still play LOTR if so what rules do you play by? Me & a couple of friends currently run with the small blue book. Just thought I'd ask about before turning up.

If not I'm flexible at playing 40k as I have a small 1000 points Alpha Legion, and I'm currently building an AOS Bretonnia army, expecting to have finished by Feb/march.
