I've just got rid of my Legions book and now I want to read it!

If you ally with another army, do you have to have a hero from the additional army in your force, or does just the one hero suffice for both groups?

I am pretty sure that you have to have a new hero from the allying army.

You have to have a hero from each list you use in your army.

yep each section of the army has to be entirely under LOME rules, it has to have its own leader/hero and bow limit

Wow! Bow limit too? So you couldn't bring in a load of mercenary Haradrim archers to support an orc army of no archers. You'd have to have only a third of the Haradrim as archers?

Thats the primary reason for LoME, to stop the cheesy powergame armies.

Also, just because a Hero may appear on both lists doesn't mean you can double-dip with him. If you're combining two Mordor lists for example you will need two Orc Captains and can't say the Orc Captain for Barad Dur is also leading Minas Morgul.
