Azog wounds on a roll of 3+ Regardless of enemy defence does this mean its a 2+ if you have the lance?

Nope it's essentially a useless weapon for him. The bonus do not stack.

I believe it's the FAQ. Also the 3+ only applies to wounding heroes if I remember correctly

Ok, as this topic popped up, I have to ask if Azog gets the bonus from two handed weapon when he is mounted.

Yes he does get the bonus from the two-handed weapon (the hobbit rules allow for two-handed weapons to be used whilst mounted) so that makes the 1+ from the lance null and void since he doesn't have the usual handicap of two-handed weapons because of burly.

All correct so far, the lance doesn't stack with his I am the Master rule, because of his two-handed weapon and Burly he wounds anything D7 or below on either 4+, 3+ or 2+ but ALWAYS wounds heroes on 3+

The lance is all but useless, it's there as a vestige of when Azog had the appearance we now know as Yazneg so his profile is an amalgamation of the two looks.

I suppose you might want to take the lance if you often face dwarves who take Floi but that's about it.

Agree with all of the above. The lance is useless, literally, as he can just make use of his Burly special rule and go 2H.
