Hi,
Quick question. If a mounted model has fate points can he use them to save wounds that are inflicted on his mount?

Thanks.

Why?
If a rider and mount are classed as one model shouldn't the fate be available for the mount?

No because they're not one model, they're seperate entities. You simply cannot target them individually with bow fire. Close combat attacks can specifically be allocated

There is a special rule for Rohan in Battle Companies that allows them to do this, but it is not part of the general ruleset. If you think about it, if Fate is a representation of the character's destiny or divine intervention on their behalf, why would the mount benefit?
