Well, you could always download lonelyknight's army builder, which is an excellent tool. Points values, which models in what list, and easy calculation =]. http://www.lonelyknight.0fees.net/ |

Thanks for that link xtanha1rrmx. That army builder matches well with GW's released pdf files. |

Great sticky! Just one question though. What source book is for Isengard? It seems to me that none of them are for my white hand forces, because the Two Towers book does not even have Uruk stats! |

http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m1120320a_In_Sauron's_Sinister_Service Wow, overpowered much? Evil seems to get all the nice toys. Good can't even get S5 models without spending boatloads of points on the likes of Eagles and Ents! |

Almost all of the profiles you'll need for Isengard are in the main rulebook. The TT book has the remaining few. |

The majority of Isengard forces in SBG are covered in the ORB, although some characters and elite units (like the troll, uruk-hai berserkers, and dunlendings) are in the Two Towers book. Thrydan Wolfsbane and Mauhur are currently only available in White Dwarf, as far as I know, although they should be making it onto the GW website sooner or later (probably later). Eh, conversely the good armies tend to have higher fight values and higher courage than evil, not to mention that the good side gets more and better heroes than the evil side for the most part. |

But evil have a wider and cheaper selection of monsters and uber monsters (like Gulavar, dragon, and the balrog etc.) to compensate that. |

True, but Fight Value isn't too great a benefit and Nazgul can fairly easily counter good Heroes and high Courage. |

i think the knigth of umbar is by far the best combat wraith. combat mimicry is deadly. imagine fighting aragorn. |

To the combat wraith discussion, The KoU can only 'steal' the abilities of his opponents. Khamul doesn't need to fight better opponents to use his own special ability. The KoU is only useful when fighting against a model with 2+ attacks, 6+ FV and/or 6+ Strength, assuming he's on a FB. This isn't very often (not to mention the fact that he's got to win lots of his fights because he can't regain his own Will once it's gone, unlike Khamul who could potentially gain 6 Will back a single turn). |
