When playing a game with my friend we encountered a problem with Dwimmerlake

in his special rule "Sap Fortitude" it stats "... spends a point of Might, Will or Fate ... etc."

So the question is, if for an example I casts Transfix with my Dwimmerlake on Aragorn and he elects to resist it with two Will points (a vital battle :-D ) Does the Sap Fortitude take effect with each will polt, ie. do I roll the "penalty" roll twice or only once ?

wouldn't the rules state for the "first point of might, will, fate" if it was just the one point that the penalty affected.

Aragorn is spending a will point twice. i dont have the magazine in front of me i have been under the impression that it was every point spent. just like i believe its eorl says you roll to see if the first might point is free.

once as in

hero X spends 1 might for heroic move
if the dwimmerlaik is within 12", he rolls a die. on a 4+, hero X must spend another might point of the heroic move is lost, along with a single point of might

i would not think the additional might point would then incur another dwimmerlaik roll

No you got it wrong....

If hero is "electing" to use two might points to for wounding for an example... then would the "sap fortitude" take effect on both "might" points used or would it work only once...? Cause if a hero (with three might points) did something like this and "a sap fortitude" roll was 4+ then hero would eventually lose 3 might points, to use the "first" might point , but if the second "sap fortitude" roll was also 4+ (for the second might point spent) then the hero could not add any more might points and all 3 might points would be lost... and they would take no effect...

The rules say's every time he spends a point of M/W/F. So if he wants spends 2 pts of Will two dice hace to be rolled and for each 4+ an extra Will has to be used. So those 2 Will could actually cost 2, 3 or 4 Will.

but the additional might, will, or fate point spent because of the dwimmerlaik does not in itself sets off the dwimmerlaik's power
