the uruk has a fight value of 4 and the WOMT of 3. does the uruk win because he has the 4 and it over rules both the gondorians 3s?
or do the gondorians 3s had up to defeat the uruk?

The uruk-hai still wins. Having extra fighters doesn't mean their fight values get added up, it just gives you more dice to roll and therefore a better chance of rolling higher than your opponent.

Some basic rules to remember when doing hand-to-hand combat:

- only the highest fight value on either side counts
- only the highest die roll on either side counts
- ties go to the side with the higher fight value
