Does the Hobbit archer horn give +1 courage for all allies, same as the elven, human and bad guy horns? The white dwarf Reinforcements article says "Only Elves, Men, Orcs, Uruk-hai and Dwarves can be upgraded to be Hornblowers"... Yet the LOME expansion has a 'signal horn' upgrade for 20 points....though that hobbit upgrade is missing under the Arnor list...as is the hornblower upgrade for Arnor warriors. I prefer to upgrade a Hobbit to hornblower for 24 points than a Warrior of Arnor for 28... Can anyone clarify..? |

so your asking if a man can use the bonus given by a hobbit horn? i would think yes, its still a horn and a moral booster |

It does say "all hobbits on the field of battle", but the Arnor Sourcebook came out before the new Horns rule, so Warriors of Arnor horns aren't mentioned either---also no mention of the horn upgrade in LOME. So it seems that hobbits were among the first to get a 'courage horn'. Were they purposely left out of the upgrade list, or just overlooked? It is only a savings of four points...but that is four spear upgrades. Can a hornblower fight? If it frees up an Arnor Warrior where a hobbit will do, I'll take it. Is this a gray area, up for interpretation and houserules, or can I know one way or another? Thanks for the patience on this fine point. |
