I was wondering if in WOTR Saruman from lost kingdoms can fight against saruman of Isengard... Can both players have him at the same time on the field... |

Yes, it is possible. Most players don't seem to adhere to the rule that battles must be between a good army and an evil army so it is possible to have 2 copies of any character on the field at the same time. One of the drawbacks of named characters. |

What's more fun is Khamul vs Khamul. |

Some guys at my store did that once. I think they said they had more than 6 back and forths, with the final wound getting bounced between them 3 times before one of them failed the roll. |

With a teeny-tiny bit of time warping involved. |

Then I expanded the point to emphasize that, the way most people play WotR, other duplications are also possible. Come to think of it though, WotR does not have a separate stat line for the Sharkey version of Sauruman and it probably should, Sharkey would be significantly different from either of the other versions. Does the SBG have separate stats for Sharkey? |

SBG has Sharkey and Worm, I would know as I play WOTR & SBG with equal enthusiasm. |

I asked the same question in our local store and their reply was that if both sides wanted to play the same epic hero then they should roll dice and the player with the highest result wins the right to play that hero. So basicaly they said no you cant both have the same character. But thats just what they said, you do what you want. |

In my local store, I was permitted to use The Dwimmerlaik, The Shadow Lord and the Betrayer whilst my opponent had the Nine Are Abroad. |
