Hello, some weeks ago, I was playing my second tourney (ending as last  ).
One of the tourney rules was that the max number of heroes that you can have is 3 heroes.
Named heroes counted as 2, so you could have either 3 captains, or aragorn :aragorn: and another captain.

Some of my friends were there too, and one of them had a small argument with his opponent.
My friend had Elladan and Elrohir, because they are stated as one hero in the game. Following the gaming rules,
they have one profile, and are stated as one hero, but logically they of course are two heroes, meaning you cannot use them in the tourney.
I don't know how it was solved but never mind that.

My question is, do Elladan and Elrohir count as one named hero, or as two heroes.
Ánd, if they are one hero, do you have to kill them both in "to kill a king" and should you count both kills for "contest of champions"?

In all cases they are, and count as two individual models.

But should you have both in your army or can you also have only one?

You have to take them as a pair, but they are two models. For scenarios that care, you have to pick one to be your leader/king, etc.

So in this particular tournie you could not take E+E as they are two named hero's. (2+2=4) :)

Do both twins need to be mounted/unmounted? In other words, can I put one with my infantry, and one with the cavalry?

What if I want one with my Rangers, and one with the Elves? Do both or neither need to be armoured, or are they joined at the hip? Most twins stop dressing in the same clothes when they're 6, but I guess you never know with the pointy-eared tree-huggers.

The GW models are so rubbish (I've never really bought into the idea that an Elf can tie his bootlaces without bending down), that I'm thinking of getting the Elrohir foot and mounted set, which seems to be the best of a bad bunch, and using them, with the addition of a helmet to the mounted chap.

I'm not bothered about official tournaments, but I don't want to offend prospective opponents by breaking the rules too blatantly.

Have you got their rules? It shows in the profiles that you have to buy them the same equipment i'e bow 10pts, there is no option of buying them different wargear.
